Literature Text

We're struggling to find ourselves in the spinning cosmos through our ideas of "love,"
And what we do for it.
We both have wanderlust
And our days feel like dreams;
You run around physically, searching for your next lover
While I run through my thoughts, searching for a million answers
And we're both lost.
I wanted to hold you forever
But you needed me to let go.
Maybe it's because you valued things that didn't last
"If you don't have something for that long, it makes what you do have that much more special,"
While I found it hard to value the memory of something when I could still have it,
And now I'm lost in dejavu, remembering the good without wanting to think about it at all,
And like a movie I've seen a thousand times, watching it go to the bad and ugly and everything since.

I try to tell myself you're just a memory,
You're gone;
But I know you're not, you're still out there and I still care about you,
But where would I even start if I wanted to tell you that?
I'm too lost in my thoughts to know for sure how I feel,
And you've grown so far from who I fell in love with.
kinda random, first there was the song Wanderlust by Versa and then the first line which I borrowed from malphasloveshisfries popped into my head and then the rest just happened.
